Overcrowding - Effect on the Economy
Losing Our Resources
Overcrowding affects both the global and local economy. The effects are first felt locally with that state/city/country stripping itself slowly of all of its resources because the demand is higher than the supply. Eventually the local markets will run out of product and go bankrupt, ruining the local economy. This will then be followed by the eventual collapse of the global economy because now that the country is out of resources it needs to rely on buying it from other countries, eventually stripping the world of that resource. Now I'm sure when you hear "economy" you think business and profits but that isn't the major problem the most critical part of this is we could run out of valuable resources. This can become very dangerous if that resource is water seeing as how every person needs water to live. If we eventually outstrip our supply all living things on Earth will die. Although the resource doesn't necessarily have to be as valuable as water, even running out of resources like oil, coal, and iron would have a great impact on the economy and human life. Without coal there isn't any electricity, without oil there won't be any cars driving or planes flying, and lastly with out iron no more housing or buildings in general could be built. How would we move forward?
